Campaign for Wool Australia activities for 2013 are underway!
April 21 – 28: Retailer David Jones presents an installation of mannequins inspired by the winter season’s most fashionable designer pieces including Camilla and Marc, Ginger & Smart, Lisa Ho and Scanlan & Theodore. Wool garments by Australia’s top designers will also carry the unique The Campaign for Wool swing tag.
April 29 – May 5: Australia is hosting its third annual Wool Week. Draw inspiration for the winter season from Australia’s top fashion designers and interior retailers with fun activities for the whole family that all feature wool in a creative way. Plus get involved in other exciting activities throughout our retail partners’ stores across Australia.
May 2: Sydney’s historic fashion destination The Strand Arcade presents an exclusive shopping evening. Shop some of Australia’s most well-known brands, with one night only special offers. Browse beautiful window displays under giant trees lovingly wrapped in Merino wool by American textile artist Magda Sayeg.
Take a look at a selection of unique woolly fashion pieces, created by our new breed of fashion design students from Australia’s most respected fashion design and textile tertiary institutions Curtin University, Queensland University of Technology, RMIT University, University of Technology, Sydney and Whitehouse Institute of Design.
May 4: Visit Sydney’s popular Supa Centa Moore Park and pat the cuddly baby lambs outside Toys R Us on the ground floor. Visuals concepts are also on display at the Supa Centa’s Orson & Blake and King Furniture.
